We are called to rebuild, repair, and revive this community.
Isaiah 61:4 NLT
“They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many years.”
Rebuild: to build something again after it has been damaged, destroyed or ruined.
- We dream of the people of Gateway being instruments of rebuilding the brokenness of our community. Rebuilding those who have been ruined by sin, addiction, and poor choices. Not by telling them what’s wrong with their lives but by loving them and introducing them to the One who loves them most - Jesus.
Repair: to raise up or restore what has been devastated or broken.
- We dream of the people of Gateway being instruments of restoration and repair. We want to bring the transformational good news of Jesus to the hurting, to restore their relationship with God and with others. We desire to be instruments of mercy and reconciliation in our church family and community.
Revive: to be made new; to restore to life.
- We dream of the people of Gateway being instruments of renewal and revival. The gospel of Christ is powerful to bring new life in us, as we seek to know Him more.
Isaiah 58:12 MSG
"You'll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You'll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again."
